A-Mazin' 3-D Jesus!

Y'all like comics, right?  I thought I'd try something new here at the ol' blog & share some of my old comics stories.  To kick things off...as this is the month when we typically celebrate the birth of a very familiar character from our collective popular mythology, I thought this short story seemed appropriate.  Happy birthday, J.H.C.!!

By the way...this original art is available for purchase...CLICK HERE for details.

SICK!! Comics for Ereader

UPDATE, Jan. 2017 - Now available for download (no more CD-R).  Details below...

Once upon a time a bunch of lowlife alternative/underground comics artists (you know the type) collectively identified as "Sin Alley" began altering innocuous little cartoon paperbacks and children's coloring books, transforming them into twisted masterpieces of filth, perversion, and all manner of human depravity...jolly good fun!  The end results were published in extremely limited print runs.  Copies of these hilariously foul little tracts are rare as hen's teeth...but now you can download them as digital files!  Included in this package are complete PDF scans of YOUNG F*CKERS (64 pgs.), "HOT NUTS" IS NOT A DISEASE (64 pgs.), THE LITTLE PECKER (68 pgs.), COCK AND KNIFE (60 pgs.), THE SINSTONES (44 pgs.), and the MURK FAIL: TAKE A RIDE ON AMERICA coloring book (28 pgs.).  Also included are a bunch of my own ultra-rare mini comics, including EAT SHIT OR DIE! (collaborative effort with my old chum Peter Bagge).  Over 400 pages of adults-only merriment!  View privately on your personal computer, or even load the files onto your tablet for discreet e-reading….practically guaranteed to get you fired if your boss catches you looking at this vile trash while you're supposed to be working!  Orders must include the following statement:  "Yes, I am over the age of 18 and do not object to viewing potentially offensive material."  Only $7.  It's simple...send payment, and I'll send you the download link (via Dropbox).  I accept PayPal:  jrwilliams57@yahoo.com

Closet of Horrors

Amazing collection of visuals over at ZOMBO'S CLOSET...movie posters, pressbooks, and miscellaneous psychotic cinematic paraphernalia...why, the avalanche of weird Mexican lobby cards alone is worth the price of admission!  Many of the photos on view are high-resolution scans. The pressbooks include lots of rare "clip art" newspaper ads.  Another great thing about the pressbooks...they give detailed descriptions of the numerous wacky "gimmicks" available to exhibitors to help lure theater-goers to the shows.  Seriously hilarious, sick stuff...quick, pass me my "Up-Chuck Cup"!!!

Short Run Sickness

I'll be exhibiting at the Short Run Small Press Fest in Seattle at the end of this month.  As a special offering for the event I've put together a CD-R of sick & twisted comics PDFs...perfect for clandestine e-reading on various devices!  I might be offering these discs via mail order in the near future, so please stay tuned...

Free Freaky Flicks

I've mentioned THE INTERNET ARCHIVE before...a fantastic online database of free, legal (public domain) downloadable media.  The archive includes a lot of movies that are just right for viewing at this Halloweenie-time-of-year...but navigating through this vast database can be a bit clumsy or frustrating.  I've compiled a list of over 250 films of interest: horror, exploitation, and other "psychotronica" currently available at the Internet Archive.  My list is by no means complete or comprehensive, but might make searching for suitable shock & schlock a little less challenging.

WRONG SIDE OF THE ART is back!  My favorite archive of high-resolution mad movie posters (above are just a few samples)...check it out, boils & ghouls!

Once again, I'm getting ready to hit the road for Californy to exhibit my junk at the annual ALTERNATIVE PRESS EXPO!  Come on down & say howdy to Jim Blanchard & me at table #116 (near Fantagraphics)...and bring some CASH!  As usual we'll have lots of original art, art prints, books, buttons, magnets, and other amazing/disturbing consumables on hand.

JAH Loves Instros

Godzilla-sized load of Studio One (the Jamaican label) compilations over at the RENESHOUA blog.  Not all of these comps are made up entirely of instrumental tracks, but there's plenty if you're willing to sift through 'em.

Bonus: More instro madness from Asia, via MADROTTER TREASURE HUNT:

Chinese Rocks!

Our old buddy Henk (aka "The Madrotter") has been posting lots of ultra-rare instrumental rock albums from China on his blog of late...hurry on over to MADROTTER TREASURE HUNT and check these out!  My favorite of these is the one with the rocket blasting off on the cover (by "The Apollo"), but the others are definitely worth a listen, as well.

Cramps & Dangerous Minds...

Kogar the Swinging Ape has remastered LUX & IVY'S FAVORITES Vol. 3 (cover art by yours, truly)...get it at his JUNGLE JUICE blog.

When I was working on the cover, I didn't realize how much the image had to be reduced in order to fit inside the skull & crossbones "frame."  Consequently, it's perhaps a bit difficult to see all of the details in the final version of the cover...I've posted some enlarged views of the cover imagery above.

The first volume of my TITTY SHAKERS! comp series got a mention in a recent DANGEROUS MINDS post.
